TY BOYD RECEIVES IGA'S
J. FRANK GRIMES AWARD
CHICAGO, IL - Ty Boyd, founder of Excellence in Speaking Institute and long-term master of ceremonies for IGA's International Retailer of the Year annual awards banquet, has been awarded IGA's J. Frank Grimes Award for his outstanding service to IGA. Boyd was presented with the award during IGA's Global Summit, held Feb. 25th -28th at Marriott's Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Fla.
The Award is given in recognition of extraordinary achievement to one who exhibits the principle, passion and great charisma of IGA's founder J. Frank Grimes. Past recipients of the award include some of the world's most esteemed business executives.
Ty Boyd's background includes a long career in radio-television, traveling the world as a professional speaker, author, and now, communications coach. He has been recognized with the top five most prestigious awards from the National Speakers Association and is in both the Broadcast and Speaking Halls of Fame. He is also a member of Speakers Roundtable, considered the top 20 speakers in the country. In 1980, with his wife and business partner, Pat, Ty founded Ty Boyd Executive Learning Systems to teach top business executives the speaking skills he has honed over a lifetime.
